Return/Exchange Policy

What is your return policy?

If you find an error in your order that we made we will fix it and send you the correct product once we receive the original unused item from you. We are responsible for all shipping costs including back to us and then back to you.

If you ordered the wrong size for your dog you can exchange it for a different size. You will need to pay for the additional shipping cost with no refund of postage for your new item. Please email us to discuss the size that you need. 


How long after I receive the product can I return/exchange my product?

You have 5 days after delivery to contact me about your desire to return or exchange your order.When we receive the item (which must still be in new condition), we can send out requested item or process the refund.

Once I have sent you the instructions on how to proceed, you have 14 days to ship the items back. If you received the item on Sunday Jan. 1st, contact me on Wednesday Jan. 4th, and I get back to you on Saturday Jan. 7th with instructions. The fourteen days start on the seventh because that is when I gave you the instructions. I must receive the item by Jan. 21st.

*It is not to be postmarked by 14 days.  I must receive the item within the 14 days.


This is not what I wanted, can I return it or get another color?

If you select the wrong item from the drop down box when ordering we will exchange the item for the item that you really wanted once we receive the unused item back . If additional charges apply then you must pay for those additional charges before we will ship the new item to you.  You are responsible for the shipping costs back to us and the shipping back to you.


What should I do if I ordered the wrong size leash, collar, or harness for my dog?

If you ordered the wrong size for your dog you can exchange it for a different size. YOU will need to pay for the additional shipping cost with no refund of postage for your new item. Please email us to discuss the size that you need.


We were emailing back and forth last month, and you just made me this custom 6 foot double handle leash with padding in the handle. I love the whole design, but I realized when I go it that 6 feet is to long. Can I return this and get a 4 foot leash?

Any and all custom order leashes that are not normally made by us are not returnable. (i.e. We will not be able to sell a 30 foot leash to anyone that a handle at 5 feet, 15 feet, and 30 feet.). We will do everything we can to make sure it is what you are looking for prior to shipping.

What if my dog chews the leash, will I be able to exchange it for a new leash or collar?

Unfortunately, we do not guarantee any of our leashes and collars against a dog chewing. 

If you find a material that is chew proof, please immediately contact us so we can partner up together, patent this leash, and become millionaires together.

My dog was connected to the leash in the back yard when he broke free and my leash snapped.  Can I get a new leash?

Any leash that breaks as a result of the owner using it as a tie out will not be guaranteed and is not eligible to be returned.  If you returned a leash and there is evidence of it ripping or breaking because of its use as a tie out to a pole, fence, or stake in the ground, we will not issue a return or exchange. You will be responsible to pay for shipping back to us.

If we find evidence of its use as a tie out then you will be responsible for shipping back to you as well. If we receive it and the leash or collar broke because of a defect then we will ship you a brand new product, and refund you the $$$ to ship it back to us initially.

I have been making leashes since 2014, only once so far has a leash been returned. Upon return and discussion with the customer it was found to be used as a tie-out.


FEEDBACK POLICY: We strive for 100% satisfaction of your product. If for whatever reason you are unhappy with your transaction, we would appreciate you contacting us prior to leaving feedback. We can't resolve an issue we are unaware of.

Shipping & Handling

How long does it take to ship my order?

Normally orders are shipped out within 3-5 days.  During the holiday season October through January, production time may be as long as 10 days depending how much in demand the product is.  We try every bit to ensure you receive you order in a timely and professional manner.

All items that are custom made please allow additional processing time (5-7 days) before shipping. Please note the shipping date on your invoice.

Are your products all made to order or are they in stock?

We carry inventory on all 6 foot leashes in both 1/2” and 3/4” widths.  We also carry inventory on all of our collars in Small, Medium, and Large.  The X-Large QuikR Collars are all made to order.

All tracking leashes are made to order. They are not considered a custom item because it is an item that I can easily resell. 


  1. All orders are shipped to the address listed on your invoice at the time of checkout. If you do not have the correct address when checking out and it is shipped to the wrong address we are not responsible for the package or for replacing your order.

  2. If you have a rush request please contact us AHEAD OF TIME and we will work with you to accommodate your needs. Orders will be shipped USPS first class or priority mail with tracking within the United States and USPS first class International without tracking to the rest of the world. If you would like insurance placed on your package, please contact us prior to checkout and we can add a listing for that coverage.

  3. International customers are responsible for any and all additional duties, taxes or fees imposed by Customs in your country. We can not be held responsible for any delays caused by Customs. This does not happen often but we would like to make you aware of the possibility.

  4. Shipping costs include both postage, tracking, packaging and handling.


Additional Policies

  1. We construct each leash and collar using the best and strongest components so that we can provide our customers with a product of the highest quality.

  2. Each customer is responsible for determining the appropriateness of the products ordered for their individual pet. The consumer accepts all responsibility by purchase and use of this product. Mid Atlantic K9 and its owners cannot be held responsible for any injury or damage that may result from the use of our products. Please use good judgement and common sense in determining appropriate use for any pet product that you purchase. As with all pet products on the market, they should be inspected regularly. Should any incorrect measurements be provided, no alterations will be made. Please measure your pup accurately and contact us if you have any questions regarding measurements.

  3. When you order, you may or may not receive the exact item pictured as we make each leash and collar per order. If you have a specific request, please email us.

    All items are made in a smoke free pet friendly workshop.
